The Commission regulates the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED), which places a responsibility on public authorities to promote equality of opportunity, tackle unlawful discrimination and foster good relations.
The PSED specific duties in Wales require listed public bodies to monitor progress towards meeting the equality objectives they have set. They must publish annual reports setting out the effectiveness of their work towards fulfilling each objective. The focus is on outcomes.
For local government, fire and rescue and police services we selected the Specific Duty on Engagement.
For the health service we chose improving access for older people.
