This follow-up report is based on the Financial Services Inquiry, which focused primarily on equality within financial services, sub-sectors of banking and building societies, so-called ‘auxiliary activities’, and holding companies.
Our findings about the marked and persistent sex discrimination, which permeates the industry, are set out in our two previous reports. In this short concluding report we concentrate on three key themes:
- Transparency of reward.
- The management of gender inequalities.
- Effective engagement with employees who are also parents.
