The Data Protection Act 1998 regulates the processing of information relating to individuals. This includes the obtaining, holding, using or disclosing of such information, and covers computerised records as well as manual filing systems and card indexes. The Commission will hold the minimum personal information necessary to enable it to perform its functions. All such information is confidential and needs to be treated with care, to comply with the law.

If you would like us to supply you with a copy of any personal data which we hold about you, please complete the Subject Data Access Request Form. You are entitled to receive this information under the Data Protection Act 1998 ('the Act').

We will endeavour to respond promptly and in any event within 40 days after the date of the latest of the following:

  1. Our receipt of your subject access request and identification; or
  2. Our receipt of any further information which we request from you, as required by us to enable us to comply with your subject access request together with the relevant fee.
