One of the key challenges identified in ‘Is Wales Fairer?’ relates to employment. It highlights the low employment rates of Muslims in Wales– they are least likely to be working of all faith groups.

Muslims in Wales

  • 49 per cent of the Muslim population in Wales is under the age of twenty-five
  • 27 per cent of Muslims in Wales have a degree compared to 25 per cent of all people living in Wales
  • 23 per cent of Welsh Muslims have no qualifications compared to 26 per cent of all people
