Disability Confident Leader

Proud to be a Disability Confident leader

We are a Disability Confident leader. This means we work to make sure that disabled people and those with long term health conditions have opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations.

We are recognised as champions for the Disability Confident scheme and a leader in championing equality in the workplace.

Our status as Disability Confident leader recognises all the great work we have done and will continue to do to embed an inclusive culture and support disabled colleagues and candidates.

Disability Confident scheme

As a Disability Confident Leader, the Equality and Human Rights Commission offers an interview for people with disabilities who meet the minimum criteria for this appointment. Disability in this context would be as defined by the Equality Act 2010 and The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004.

Where high numbers of applications are received, the candidates that best meet the minimum criteria for the role may only be invited to interview.  If you wish to apply for consideration under this scheme, please complete the appropriate section on the online application form. This will enable us to make the appropriate arrangements, if necessary.

If you require an alternative accessible version of the application form or wish to discuss your application or reasonable adjustment, please email the People team or contact us by telephone on 0161 829 8100.
