Putting human rights into practice

Between October 2009 and January 2010, the Commission, in partnership with the Guardian, hosted a series of roundtables with leaders in the public and voluntary sectors to explore what human rights could look like in practice and how to take forward the findings from our Human Rights Inquiry.

Each roundtable was written up in the Guardian Society to share the learning and continue the debate.

You can read the reports of the roundtables on the Guardian Public website:

Human rights and the public sector coverThe findings from these roundtables were further expanded in a supplement prepared by Guardian Public magazine entitled 'Human Rights and the public sector: Deconstructing the myths'.
