Consortium for Street Children (UK) have produced a fascinating report on the lives of the world's street children.
The first global report of its kind, State of the World’s Street Children: Violence aims to promote a better understanding of the lives of street children and encourage policy-makers, activists, community leaders and service providers to take action to prevent and reduce the level of violence experienced by street children.
State of the World’s Street Children: Violence provides recommendations for policies, community support and service delivery drawn from research and agencies working with children in street situations.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission's chief executive, Nicola Brewer sat on the consortium's expert task force. The Commission has a remit to consider equality and human rights issues across Great Britain.
You can access the report at the consortium's website.
