Part of the Commission’s remit is to enforce equality legislation on age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, and sexual orientation and encourage compliance with the Human Rights Act.  Our enforcement powers allow us to investigate whether organisations, businesses or sectors are complying with their legal duties regarding equality.  We can work with them to develop organisational practices that will improve equality and human rights, and take legal action where this is necessary.

In this section you will find information about the investigations we are carrying out, or have concluded.
