The UK government has been invited to present its fifth periodic report (of 2003) and its sixth periodic report (of 2007) at the 41st session of CEDAW on 10 July 2008.

The Commission submitted its parallel report to the Committee in June 2008. Our submission focused on:

  • The Optional Protocol
  • The Gender Equality Duty on the Public Sector
  • Violence against Women
  • Employment and Reconciliation of Work and Family Life
  • Education and Stereotypes, and
  • Women’s Health
