The Working Better project is a policy initiative to explore how we can match the aspirations of employees with the needs of employers in ways that meet both the economic and individual challenges of modern Britain. This includes reviewing the needs of parents, carers, disabled people, young people and older workers, and exploring how we can match the needs of these employees with the requirements of employers.
We have already made progress in identifying new ways of working and are continuing to liaise with business and employees to develop more innovative ways of working.
Working Better explores the limitations of current policy and practice, highlights where new thinking and creative solutions are needed, and puts forward a range of options for change.
