A new agenda for the public sector?
New specific duties for Wales and taking forward Human Rights
The next round of Equality Exchange regional events will give you the opportunity to participate in the Welsh Assembly Government’s ‘Listening Exercise’. Building on previous discussions, we want you to tell us which public sector duties would be most effective in delivering equality.
For more information on the consultation, visit the Assembly’s website
In addition we will discuss the findings and recommendations from the Commission’s recently published Human Rights Inquiry report. We want to start to define what taking a human rights approach might look like within public services in Wales.
The events will take place on the following dates at the following locations across Wales:
- Tuesday 3 November – Carmarthenshire County Council
- Wednesday 4 November – Newport University
- Thursday 5 November – North Wales Police
Places at these events are limited. If you would like to attend please book your place as soon as possible by contacting Heather Dean on 02920 447710 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to Equality and Human Rights Commission, 3rd Floor, 3 Callaghan Square, Cardiff CF10 5BT.
