Pregnancy and maternity discrimination forces thousands of new mothers out of their jobs - New research suggests that around 54,000 new mothers may be forced out of their jobs in Britain each year. These findings are based on a survey of over 3,200 women by the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Commission publishes research into prejudice-based bullying in schools in Scotland: The Equality and Human Rights Commission has today published new research into the scale and impact of prejudice-based bullying in Scottish secondary schools. The research, based on findings from 1,250 pupils and 330 teachers, concludes that procedures for supporting pupils being bullied could be improved.
